The statement:

... is interesting.

As a programmer I have to say that I do grok this.
However it shows the limited nature of an engineers way of thinking.

What programmers want to do is to create a virtual hardware that
is more easily and naturally manipulated ( maybe coerced! ).

Before you think I still don't get it consider that this
is the difference between the success of Apple and the
failure of Microsoft.
